3. Voice, microphone, transcription, and text-to-speech
Voice features are optional.

If you choose to use voice features, Orralen may process:
- microphone audio;
- audio format and duration;
- speech-recognition data;
- speech transcripts;
- lesson context;
- related technical information needed to provide the voice interaction.
Audio may be transmitted securely to the Orralen backend and to relevant speech-processing or AI service providers where necessary to recognise speech and provide the lesson.
Raw lesson audio is not intended to be stored as normal long-term lesson history.
Audio may be held temporarily for the time reasonably necessary to process the voice interaction or troubleshoot a specific problem.
A longer period may apply where necessary for security, legal obligations, investigation of a reported technical issue, or another lawful purpose.
Text produced from speech may be treated differently from the original audio.
Speech transcripts, lesson messages, AI tutor responses, feedback, corrections, and lesson summaries may be stored as part of the user's lesson history and account records.
Text-to-speech features may process AI tutor text in order to generate spoken tutor responses.
4. AI processing
Orralen uses artificial intelligence to provide language-learning features.
AI systems may be used to generate:
- tutor responses;
- explanations;
- corrections;
- hints;
- translations;
- exercises;
- lesson feedback; and
- lesson summaries.
To provide these functions, information may be sent to AI or speech-processing service providers.
Depending on the feature, this information may include:

- learner messages;
- speech transcripts;
- selected language;
- level;
- topic;
- lesson situation;
- relevant recent conversation context;
- learning settings; and
- other information necessary to generate the requested response.
If you use voice features, audio may also be processed for speech recognition.
The Orralen AI tutor is intended for language learning and does not make legal, financial, medical, employment, immigration, credit, or other similarly significant decisions about users.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete.
Please avoid intentionally entering highly sensitive personal information into lesson conversations unless it is genuinely necessary for your language practice.
Problematic or inappropriate AI-generated content can be reported using available feedback features or by contacting support@languagevoicetutor.com.
5. Notification data
The Android application may use local notifications for learning reminders.
Local notifications are scheduled and displayed by the user's device.
Notification preferences and reminder times may be stored on the device or in Orralen account settings where supported.
The Android application does not currently use Firebase Cloud Messaging for remote push notifications.
You can disable notifications through Orralen settings where available or through your device settings.
6. Device, diagnostic, and security data
We may process technical information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot Orralen, including:
- application version;
- operating system;

- device type;
- error and diagnostic information;
- crash information;
- service requests and responses;
- timestamps;

We may use this information to:
- keep Orralen working;
- investigate technical problems;
- protect accounts;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- protect subscriptions and payments;
- improve reliability;
- monitor service availability; and
- comply with legal or security obligations.
7. Website analytics and advertising measurement
The Orralen website may use analytics, advertising, and conversion-measurement technologies where these features are enabled.
These may include Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related Google measurement tools.
Depending on the configuration and your consent choices, information processed may include:
- pages visited;
- approximate location derived from IP address;

- advertising click information;
- cookie identifiers;
- similar online identifiers;
- website performance events; and
- conversion events.
This information may be used to:
- understand website traffic;
- measure website performance;
- understand how visitors find Orralen;
- measure advertising campaigns;
- measure downloads or visits to important pages;
- improve website content;
- prevent abuse; and
- evaluate marketing effectiveness.
We do not intentionally provide lesson messages, speech transcripts, raw lesson audio, passwords, or full payment card numbers to Google Analytics or Google Ads for advertising purposes.
Orralen applications do not currently display third-party advertising.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The Orralen website may use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as:
- essential website operation;
- security;
- remembering privacy choices;
- analytics;
- performance measurement;
- advertising measurement; and
- marketing where enabled.
Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are not used until the required consent has been obtained.
Where cookie controls are available, you may use them to accept or reject non-essential technologies.
You may also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent normal access to the main public content of the Orralen website, although some analytics or advertising measurement functions may no longer work.
9. Support data
If you contact Orralen support, we may process information such as:
- your email address;
- account information needed to identify the account;

Please do not send:
- passwords;
- verification codes;
- full payment card details;
- API keys;
- authentication tokens;
- Google Play purchase tokens; or
- other account secrets
through ordinary support messages unless we specifically provide a secure process for that information.
10. Payment and subscription data
Payment processing depends on the channel through which Premium is purchased.
Google Play
Premium subscriptions purchased through the Orralen Android application are processed using Google Play Billing.
Google processes the payment using the payment information associated with the user's Google account.
ORRALEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD does not receive or store the user's full payment card number from Google Play.
Orralen may receive or process billing-related information required to verify and maintain Premium access, including:
- payment provider;
- product identifier;
- subscription identifier;
- purchase token or purchase reference;
- subscription status;
- transaction status;
- purchase status;
- renewal information;
- expiration information;
- cancellation status; and
- refund or revocation information where applicable.
Orralen verifies relevant Google Play subscription information before the backend updates Premium access.
A successful payment screen on the Android device does not by itself permanently grant Premium.
Premium status is maintained by the Orralen backend after the applicable subscription state has been verified.
Paddle
Premium purchases offered through supported desktop or web payment flows may be processed through Paddle.
For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the seller or Merchant of Record for the payment transaction under its applicable terms.
Paddle may process information needed for:
- checkout;
- payments;
- payment methods;
- taxes;
- receipts and invoices;
- recurring billing;
- subscription management;
- cancellations;
- refunds; and
- fraud prevention.
ORRALEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD does not need to receive or store the user's full payment card number in order to maintain Orralen Premium access.
Orralen may receive limited information from Paddle needed to identify and maintain the subscription and associated Premium entitlement.
Separate payment channels
Google Play and Paddle are separate payment providers.
Orralen may store information identifying which provider is responsible for a subscription and the subscription state required to maintain Premium access.
Payment providers process payment information according to their own privacy notices, terms, and legal obligations.

We do not intentionally provide lesson text, speech transcripts, or raw lesson audio to third parties for those third parties' own targeted advertising.
Service providers that receive information in order to operate Orralen are expected to process it under the applicable contractual and legal requirements.
14. International processing and transfers
Orralen is an international online service and some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.
The country in which information is processed may depend on the service provider, infrastructure, and feature being used.
Where UK data protection rules for international transfers apply, ORRALEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD will only make or permit a restricted transfer where an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism is available.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- UK adequacy regulations;
- appropriate contractual safeguards;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
- an applicable UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses; or
- another mechanism permitted by applicable data protection law.
Additional technical and organisational protections may also be used where appropriate.
You may contact support@languagevoicetutor.com if you have a question about international processing of your personal data.
15. Data retention
We do not intend to keep personal data indefinitely.
Retention depends on the type of information, why it is needed, account status, legal requirements, and applicable provider obligations.
Account information
Account and profile information may normally be retained while an Orralen account remains active and for any additional period reasonably necessary to complete account closure, resolve disputes, protect security, or meet legal obligations.
Lesson information
Lesson messages, transcripts, summaries, progress, settings, achievements, and related learning information may be retained while the account remains active so that Orralen can provide lesson history and learning features.
This information may be deleted or anonymised as part of a completed account-deletion process, subject to necessary retention exceptions.
Raw lesson audio
Raw lesson audio is not intended to be retained as normal long-term lesson history.
It may be processed temporarily to provide speech recognition or other requested voice functions.
Longer retention may occur where reasonably necessary to investigate a specific technical or security issue or where required by law.
Support information
Support communications may be retained for a period reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain an appropriate support record, prevent abuse, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Security and technical information
Security, diagnostic, and abuse-prevention information may be retained for a period reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, protect the service, detect repeated abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Payment and subscription records
Subscription, transaction, refund, cancellation, payment-reference, entitlement, and related billing records may be retained where necessary for:
- accounting;
- tax;
- fraud prevention;
- payment reconciliation;
- disputes;
- chargebacks;
- legal claims; and
- other legal obligations.
Account deletion does not necessarily require deletion of records that ORRALEN TECHNOLOGIES LTD is legally or legitimately required to retain.
Analytics and advertising data
Where analytics or advertising services are used, data may be retained according to our configured settings, the applicable provider settings, consent choices, and legal requirements.
We periodically review whether information continues to be required.
16. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Orralen account.
Account deletion can be requested using the account-deletion function provided in supported Orralen applications.
You may also contact:
support@languagevoicetutor.com
If contacting us by email, you should normally use the email address associated with your Orralen account.
Do not send your password, verification codes, full payment card details, purchase tokens, or other account secrets as part of an account-deletion request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request.
Submitting a deletion request does not itself immediately delete the account.
The request must be processed through the Orralen account-deletion workflow.
Once account deletion is completed, personal information may be deleted or anonymised as appropriate.
This may include:
- account-identifying information;
- profile information;
- settings;
- lesson history;
- lesson and conversation information;
- learning progress; and
- achievements.
Some information may remain where retention is necessary for:
- legal obligations;
- tax and accounting records;
- subscription and payment history;
- refunds;
- chargebacks;
- fraud prevention;
- security investigations;
- dispute handling;
- legal claims; or
- other lawful purposes.
Deleting the Orralen application from a Windows computer or Android device does not delete your Orralen account.
Deleting or requesting deletion of your Orralen account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Google Play or Paddle.
To prevent future subscription charges, you should separately cancel the subscription through the payment provider through which it was purchased.
17. Your data protection rights
Depending on applicable data protection law and the circumstances of the processing, you may have rights including:

support@languagevoicetutor.com
